Calibrates, repairs, adjusts all types of electronic equipment related to the trade including but not limited to: transmitters and receivers, AC & DC controllers, control loops such as current loops, RTDs thermocouples, strain gauges, transducers, process video systems, metal detectors, checkweighers, etc. and all related systems using components of electronic, solid state, electrical and mechanical functions within jurisdictional limitations.
Must be able to program programmable controllers, process based computers, loops controllers, and other similar devices.
Must be able to troubleshoot the software programs using peripheral gears such as load monitors, CRTs and other video, graphic and digital displays, PCs
Must perform all types of calibrations and checks to insure the accuracy of the control or system and must be able to obtain adjustments within the specified tolerances.
Originates and designs major electronic circuitry, including but not limited to the advanced electronic logic theory, practice and solutions such as used in programmable controllers and microprocessors.
Working knowledge of NEC
Trained and certified in CPR
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be willing to work all shifts and extended shifts as required, including weekends and holidays. Skilled Trades positions must also have either a journeyman’s card or 8000 documented hours. We prefer manufacturing and team environment experience, but it is not required.
