Electronics Technician

The Electronics Technician will be responsible for accurately diagnosing, testing and repairing our customers' gas detection equipment.

  • Diagnose and repair personal and fixed gas detection equipment in a timely manner
  • Assist with configuration for shipment of iNet® replacement instruments
  • Assist with preparation of rental instruments
  • Maintain shop floor by assisting material handling with basic job duties
  • Communicate issues as necessary to the customer by phone or email
  • Accurate entry of customer information into Oracle, Siebel or iNet
  • Follow Service Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Mentor newer technicians
  • Look to continuously improve service center processes (Kaizan)
  • Maintain a clean and functional work area (Five-S)
  • Two-year associate degree in electronics or equivalent experience
  • Basic computers and typing skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic soldering skills
  • Mechanical assembly skills
  • Very organized and able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of Oracle and Siebel
  • Experience in repairing surface mountPCBs
  • Ability to use standard measuring tools and electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot to a component level
  • Experience providing excellent customer service
  • Knowledge of monitoring toxic and explosive gases
  • IPC certification-class three soldering certification
