Minimum Education/ Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Special Education, or related field. Must hold a current North Carolina teaching license.
Valid North Carolina driver’s license required.
Brief Description of Work Performed:
Thorough knowledge of the principles and methods of instruction, especially as they relate to students with severe/profound intellectual and developmental disabilities. Maintain effective and positive working relationships with Center personnel, parents and the general public.
Follow and develop individual education programs for students, be familiar with testing students, and working with teams.
Maintain an appropriate learning environment in which active treatment is provided to meet the individual needs of each student.
Provide personal care needs of each student including toileting, tooth brushing, skin care, etc
Hours/Days of Work:
Salary, Exempt Monday – Friday
