The successful applicant for this Raytheon IIS position will be rewarded with the opportunity to immediately jump in and help solve a wide variety of unusual and difficult problems using a wide breath of interesting technologies. This talented engineer is expected to wear a variety of hats and operate independently and as a member of small Integrated Product teams solving both software and hardware challenges.

Successful applicant will have previous success independently designing, building, and testing prototype electronic circuits.

Most projects involve independent design, analysis, fabrication, assembly, and testing in an R&D environment.

Will also be expected to contribute to R&D proposals, whitepapers and reports.


6+ years of applicable experience with electronic circuits, preferably in an R&D lab environment.


Proven relevant experience in most of the following areas:

Component level DAQ,


Board level PC digital & analog I/O,


mV level signal conditioning,


General sensor selection/application,


Robotics, motor/motion control, PIC’s,


Component-level troubleshooting,


Multi layer PCB design and PCB layout (Altium).


Proven ability in developing custom hardware solutions from scratch including soldering and wiring boards and devices.


Embedded development


Proven ability with hands-on troubleshooting and/or debugging of hardware with standard lab equipment and software problems with emphasis in C / C++.


Candidates must be a US citizen with an

exisiting/active DoD Secret


Desired Skills:

Use of an RTOS on the embedded solution


Software skills in LabView


Experience in research, reverse engineering, operational testing and development of new technologies

Required Education (including major):

BS in Electrical Engineering or similar degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience (BS degree = 8 years of additional applicable experience)
