POSITION SUMMARY :
The (ED) technician provides direct supportive care to patients and may perform designated procedures under the supervision of the registered nurse or physician.
Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: Training and/or experience in the area of unlicensed assistive caregiver in the emergency room environment.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to work in a fast-paced environment; able to anticipate, manage, prioritize and complete work assignments and other duties as assigned.
License and Certifications: Certification as an emergency medical technician (EMT), nursing assistant, (CNA), medical assistant (CMA), or comparable experience providing assistive patient care in one of these roles is essential. Current Healthcare Provider BCLS card is required. CPI required within 6 months of hire or upon completion of orientation period.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical job requirements as noted on the job description.
