The Emergency Department System/Quality Administrator (EDIQC) is an important member of the Emergency Department and the patient care informatics support team and is responsible for providing systems informatics services, support for the Emergency Department Information System (EDIS), and department core measures. The EDIQC works with the Emergency Department and the Information Technology Department to provide clinical and technical support and customer services within the EDIS and related projects. The EDIQC will utilize their combined professional knowledge of clinical systems and emergency department to assess, create/modify, implement, update and maintain the EDIS. The EDIQC works on projects coordinated by the Director of the Emergency Department and the Director of Quality. The EDIQC works in cooperation with the Emergency Department and Quality and under the direction of the Director of the Emergency Department. The EDIQC also coordinates and implements quality projects for ED throughput and hospital core measures. A. Education/Skills/Experience: · Registered Nurse Required; BSN Preferred · 2 years of relevant clinical experience in the Emergency Department B. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: · RN – State of Texas
