Job Description
Under the direction of the Associate General Counsel, Risk Management, this individual assists in all aspects of integrating and applying the concepts of emergency management (mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery) to all corporate and site emergency management programs across Kaleida Health with the objective of improving organizational performance while reducing the risk of loss and actual loss. Interacts closely with the Corporate Emergency Manager and other Coordinators to ensure standardization of the Kaleida Health Emergency Management Program.

Minimum or Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Healthcare, Business, or Emergency Management. If no Associates then a minimum of 2 years experience is required. Completion of FEMA Independent Study Courses IS700, IS800, IS100, IS200. Must complete all courses within 6 months of starting position. Minimum of 2 years training and/or experience in the following areas: emergency planning and management, hospital based emergency medicine/nursing, other emergency medical services and/or emergency response, risk management, business continuity, or hazardous materials management required. Experience as a professional trainer is preferred. Prior experience with respiratory protection, personal protective equipment, hazardous materials detection, and decontamination.Strong familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
