The successful associate will assist with labor and employee relations programs to ensure compliance with policies and practices. Researches and responds to employee questions, concerns and grievances. Maintains labor and employee relations records. Specific duties include: • Prepare costing analysis, provides comparative analysis on competitors and the market for labor negotiations. Assists in preparing and drafting MOU’s as well as labor agreements. Ensure changes are communicated and implemented. • Updates and maintains Labor Relations data base as contracts are ratified as well as developing data base on competitors for all operating markets. • Tracks grievances, NLRB charges, catalog arbitration decisions on Peoplesoft. • Research and investigation for grievances, Board charges and potential arbitrations. • As assigned, assist in research and investigation of various employee relation issues including hotline calls, EEOC complaints. Provide recommendations from research. Perform WARN calculations where necessary. • Develops and maintains Employee Relations data base that includes but is not limited to hotline calls, corrective counseling training, EEOC complaints, exit interviews, discipline tracking, Town Hall meetings. Continuous update of employee handbook. • Coach and counsel managers in the development and issuance of performance, behavior and attendance discipline. • Conduct governmental and legal research as needed. • Special projects as assigned

Qualifications: • Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. • Two years of experience in the field or in a related area. • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
