Employee Relations Coordinator
Responsible for listening to employee and departmental supervisors and suggesting the most effective approach to address concerns. Seeks opportunities to resolve non- and grievances based on adhering to company policies and procedures. Available to discuss topics with all levels of employees and management. Effectively communicates employee policies and procedures. Ensuring employees have a secure and objective area to address their concerns. Demonstrates and provides outstanding customer and employee relations at all times. Presents oneself in a neat and clean appearance at all times. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsible for performing all tasks associated with NYS Lottery and NYS Racing and Wagering License process. Performs functions including fingerprinting candidates for background checks, distribute and review gaming licenses and follow up on pending license submissions. Partners with NYS Lottery and NYS Racing and Wagering Board to verify license granted and denied. Updates both third parties regarding updated and terminated licenses. Tracks employees through various stages of the licensing process to ensure seamless transition from candidacy to orientation. Promotes excellent customer service, positive public and employee relations. Demonstrates and provides outstanding customer and employee relations at all times. Presents oneself in a neat and clean appearance at all times. Performs other duties as assigned.
Meeting with employees and/or department supervisors. Researching various employee cases as they arise and investigates in a confidential manner. Providing recommendations to most effectively address issues. Counseling and communicating effectively with employees and supervisors. Ensures proper completion and circulation of all HR forms where necessary. Attends periodic meetings and training sessions. Assists in special projects.
Physical and Mental
Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to hear, speak and see. Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach and walk. Ability to lift 10 lbs. Ability to understand and communicate both verbally and written in English. Ability to follow directions.
High School or equivalent diploma. At least one (1) year similar experience. Excellent grammar, pleasant phone manner and voice. Must have previous labor relations experience. Must be friendly, outgoing, congenial and a team player. Must have excellent PC and typing skills. Minimum 18 years old and have the ability to obtain appropriate license pursuant to the NY State Lottery regulations.
