The Employee Relations Manager will lead the HR Service Delivery team responsible for developing and supporting organization-wide employee relations policies, procedures, and courses of action.
In this role, you will:
Work closely with managers to ensure consistency in policy and procedure application
Ensure timely and thorough completion of complex workplace investigations
Constantly be evaluating relevant HR trends and recommending long term solutions
Build collaborative, trusting and credible relationships with leadership, providing them with expert advice
Work closely with the Legal department to ensure compliance of state and federal laws.
Coach and guide managers on matters of corrective action and termination to ensure fair and equitable treatment.
Work closely with managers, Human Resources Business Partners, and employees to resolve performance related concerns.
Investigate employee issues and complaints to ensure timely and appropriate action taken
Work to improve Human Resource’s communication effectiveness with all departments and employees
Do you have what it takes?
BA/BS degree in HR Management, Business or related field required; PHR/SPHR preferred
Minimum of six (6) years of HR management/ relations experience with a strong focus on employee relations and conducting complex investigations
Aptitude for employee related problem solving
Strong organizational and work prioritization skills
Knowledge of HR laws and regulations
Ability to manage and administer a broad range of tasks including resolving complaints, counseling managers and employees on the interpretation of policies, procedures and union agreements.
Ability to prepare written reports and correspondences, and presentations to senior leadership as required.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally.
Extensive knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and labor laws and governmental compliance requirements.
