Main Purpose of the Role

The Team Member Relations Manager will partner with various team leaders and members to provide advice, guidance and support with all Virgin America people policies. We have a team oriented work environment and this role will assist in ensuring that it continues to be a great place to work!

The Team Member Relations Manager will provide strategic leadership for other team leaders on all of their People strategies. Our teammates are very important, in fact they're critical.

Responsibilities Provide coaching and counseling to management and individual contributors. Design and administer team member relations programs to support the VA culture. Assist in the role out and implementation of the performance management program. Compliance reporting (e.g. Affirmative Action Plans, EEO-1 reports, etc). Proactively administer the company’s team member philosophy to promote the positive work environment that exists at Virgin America. Assist in our “Red Carpet” orientation program. Conduct exit interviews on all departing team members. Assist in implementing change management activities. Assist with all other people team initiatives. This position will require considerable travel to all of the various locations Virgin America operates in.

Essentials Bachelor's degree (emphasis in HR preferred) or equivalent working experience 3-5 years experience in a generalist role General knowledge across HR disciplines, including compensation, benefits, employment/labor relations, regulations and laws (state & federal) Must be thoroughly familiar with California labor laws and EEOC guidelines Must be extremely confidential and able to manage sensitive and confidential situations tactfully Good communication skills necessary Understanding of, and great interest in, Virgin America's entrepreneurial culture and values Considerable travel required
