Provides day-to-day guidance and training to management and employees on performance and employee relations issues to ensure consistency and mitigate risk.
Job Duties and Responsibilitie
- Educates and advises management and employees on federal/state/local mandates and IGT policies/guidelines (e.g., ADA, FMLA, LOA, etc.). Ensures client leaders are adequately informed to support consistency and compliance. Conducts classroom training regarding IGT policy/practices and/or government mandates.
- Advises management and employees on performance management issues. Advises and educates management on proper completion of performance management documents. Coaches management on how to address performance issues with employees and administer corrective actions and performance development plans. Partners in the development and administration of mid-year and year-end performance review process.
Investigates formal employee complaints and recommends the Company’s response to the employee.
Documents investigations with comprehensive fact finding reports.
Assists management with planning and coordinating separation process.
Responds to federal/state/local government offices (e.g., EEOC, Unemployment, etc.) regarding charges/claims and may attend hearings as needed.
Conducts exit interviews and compiles statistical reports and information.
Assists in policy/practice development, interpretation and application.
Performs reporting/analysis on various employee relations-related actions/issues/trends.
Leads/supports special projects at both team and enterprise levels.
Identifies and implements HR process improvements to improve HR and business efficiency.
2 to 5 years of experience in Human Resources with a minimum of 2 years recent employee/labor relations experience
Knowledge and understanding of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
Experience with international labor relations and employment law preferred
Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively and across various countries and cultures
Ability to confront and address issues confidentially
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
