High School/GED
  • Recruiting and/or staffing experience preferred
  • Primary Purpose: Responsible for the recruitment and assisting in the selection of Cass Regional personnel, and for the design and coordination of onboarding programs and activities. Also responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of strategies and goals to retain staff. Assists in the coordination of the performance management process. Responsible for the administration of Cass Regional's dress code.

    Routine Decision Making: Determines which candidates meet the expectations set forth by the manager and organization to help determine the best candidate for the job. Determines the content of hospital-wide orientation programs.

    Required Knowledge: Knowledge of fundamental employment laws and Human Resources practices. Understanding of basic human resource functions such as compensation, benefits, employee/labor relations, training and development. Sufficient understanding of health care field(s) and specific departmental environments to elicit credibility with all levels of management and faculty.

    Required Skills and Ability: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize and plan work efficiently and develop realistic action plans. Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Ability to maintain highly sensitive and confidential material and ability to exercise good judgment in recognizing scope of authority. Demonstrated appropriate customer service attitudes and services in a variety of work settings. Demonstrated experience handling challenging human resource/recruitment issues in a diverse and dynamic environment.

    Formal Education: Work generally requires skills, knowledge, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field or two years of Human Resources experience. One to three years of experience in recruiting or staffing, preferably in a healthcare setting, is preferred.
