This is responsible professional work in coordinating and supervising direct contact staff in a comprehensive employment program for individuals who are developmentally disabled.
Direct involvement and/or review of contracted requirements including Job Discovery, Job Exploration, Job Development, Job Coaching, and Follow Along. This will require directly providing the service and/or the regular review of Reports, Progress Notes, and communications.
Works closely with the Director of Programming in planning, assessing and determining any needs/modifications in the services provided within the program. This will require the understanding of contractual requirements, changes (or anticipated changes) in regulations, and trends within the contracting agencies.
Knowledge of statutes, rules and regulations relating to the operation of the program including CARF Standards, Department of Labor, the Division of Developmental Disabilities, and the Division Vocational Rehabilitation requirements.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with personnel from contracting agencies, VR Counselors, Service Coordinators, and other community stakeholders.
A degree from an accredited college in education, special education, psychology, sociology, counseling, or closely related areas. Plus one year direct experience in supervision of staff and one year working directly with individuals who have a disability.
