The Employment Services Coordinator is responsible for creating job opportunities for participants and helping participants find and retain employment. The Employment Services Coordinator orients new participants, conducts workshops and provides on-going case management and retention support to clients as they re-enter the workforce. Additionally, this person networks with business leaders and employers to identify job opportunities for clients and creates new job opportunities.
Greet and welcome all participants to PATHFinders Employment Center.
Conduct employability assessments of potential participants. This includes assessing level of
ability and readiness for work, physical and mental capabilities.
Develop individualized employment plans for enrolled participants.
Create and maintain participant program files including case notes on all participant activity.
Create monthly reports as necessary.
Ensure timely update of participant data onto the established database and/or tracking logs as
required by program
Track retention data, participant updates, supportive services requests, program expenses, petty
cash, program goals reporting weekly, monthly and quarterly.
Assist in securing supportive services for clients as necessary.
Provide job readiness skills training such as resume development, interviewing skills, and job
Provide career counseling, case management and job coaching, including labor market trends to
job seekers, coordinate job skills trainings, arrange interviews with employers and work one on
one with clients on job retention issues.
Coordinate recruitment with employers. Connect with outside resources such as EDD, Work
Source Centers, Department of Rehabilitation, vocational schools, community based
organizations, the VA, veteran social services and employment resources to ensure clients have
access to available services.
Establish and maintain complete and accurate records of client participation and progress
towards goals and objectives. This includes developing and renewing individual employment
plans and keeping track of placement data as required by the Department of Labor (DOL)
Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP) and HUD.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with prospective employers, including outreach and
attendance to employment fairs and connections with local businesses.
Conduct new participant orientation to the program
Follow-up with unemployed participants as necessary to promote job retention.
Draft resumes, cover letters, and thank you letters.

Bachelors Degree in a related field or 2-3 years comparable experience.
Advanced degree in social work, counseling or human services is a plus.
Previous experience with social services, homeless programs, veterans and families.
Able to coordinate multiple projects in a high-pressure and time sensitive environment.
Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office software. HMIS system a plus.

Capability to work in a fast paced, professional environment.

All eligible candidates must have:
- Bachelors Degree in a related field.
- Two four years comparable experience in housing.
- Previous experience with social services and/or homeless programs.
- Demonstrate ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure, fast paced and time sensitive environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software particularly Excel.
- Highly motivated self-starter, with proven ability to develop creative solutions.
