DESCRIPTION

As an Employment Services Transition Manager with Easter Seals Midwest |Life Skills, you'll be supporting two different groups of people - you will help to link our customers to the community and link our employment staff to the home office of Easter Seals Midwest |Life Skills. By supporting both groups, the Employment Services Transition Manager helps to carry out the important mission of supporting our customers in finding work in the community, and supporting our employment staff who work directly with our clients. The people that carry out this rewarding support play an integral and crucial role in the success of our organization. DUTIES

The responsibilities of the Employment Services Transition Manager are: Hiring and training staff in best practices to support our clientsObserving performance of staff and providing objective feedback and evaluationsRecommending support for each client as neededMaintaining supportive communication with counselors, staff, clients, and clients' family membersReviewing and processing all staff paperwork to ensure program requirements are metHelping maintain the budget, grants, and monitoring expenses

QUALIFICATIONS

A qualified Employment Services Transition Manager will have: A Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related fieldAt least 1 year of supervisory experienceAt least 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, support services, or community resourcesA qualified candidate will also have: Knowledge of labor and employment lawsKnowledge of funding sources and requirementsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)The ability to multi-task, excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, ability to problem solve, and must be organized and detail oriented The responsibilities of the Employment Services Transition Manager are: Hiring and training staff in best practices to support our clientsObserving performance of staff and providing objective feedback and evaluationsRecommending support for each client as neededMaintaining supportive communication with counselors, staff, clients, and clients' family membersReviewing and processing all staff paperwork to ensure program requirements are metHelping maintain the budget, grants, and monitoring expenses
