Position Description

We are seeking a Technical Engagement Manager for a high-visibility cyber security project involving integration of COTS and GOTS systems. Working with the PM and the senior Systems Integration Manager, this individual will help manage the execution and quality customer service to the client agency, help manage technical issues, and will assist the PM in uncovering new business opportunities within that agency.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain a strong working relationship with all key customer stakeholders
  • Manage and identify risks and issues
  • Create and deliver status reports
  • Provide excellent client communications and responsive follow through on all issues and actions, and act as an advocate for client issues within internal departments
  • Collaborate extensively with peers, including Engineers and Developers to resolve client issues while actively contributing to a growing knowledge network that improves the effectiveness of our team and the information available to our clients
  • Ensure the project team fully understands the customer’s needs and that products and services are being developed to meet those needs
  • Articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • In support of the SI Manager, gather and analyze data to determine system requirements including hardware, software, storage, and network
  • In support of the SI Manager, develop work plans and estimates as they relate to systems integration work tasks and team members
  • In support of the SI Manager, research, evaluate, and recommend system designs based on client needs
  • In support of the SI Manager, draft technical instructions, engineering plans, technical designs, and other systems integration related documents
  • Travel to customer locations in the Washington, DC metro area
  • Identify and partner with the sales team in the generation of new business with the customer

Knowledge, Skills & Ability Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience, 8 of which must be in managing technical integration and solution delivery issues
  • Experience developing project plans, alternatives analysis, business care analysis/ justification
  • Experience with technical implementation of IT security projects in complex and heterogeneous environments, including assessment of information assurance and interoperability
  • Experience architecting integration system solutions including hardware, software, storage and networking
  • Experience developing, configuring and delivering COTS software in support of enterprise security solutions
  • Expert in security policy and implementation
  • Experience working pursuit or capture of business
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)

Desired Experience & Certifications
  • CISSP is strongly desired
  • PMP is a plus
  • Experience working with Department of Homeland Security or its affiliated offices
  • Experience working in Federal Civilian agencies
