Under limited supervision designs, installs, evaluates and takes action on quality systems to include procedures and methods, sampling plans, inspection and testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned.)
In partnership with Quality Analyst, perform analysis and provide appropriate reports on supplier and manufacturing quality levels. Collaborate with QC Manager to review and improve test methodology, criteria and testing plans for incoming and in-process inspection performed by quality control (QC). Ensure plans are appropriate to confirm product quality and help to identify potential issues through product life cycle. Interface with all departments, customers, suppliers (including supplier audits) and subcontractors on quality related issues. Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive towards a culture of “best practices” and continuous improvement. Provide QA Engineering support to our Mexico manufacturing facilities, which includes travel to those facilities, to support quality related projects (example: yield improvement activities, new product introduction, model year changes, etc.). Drive the appropriate development and use of metrics for ISO compliance and effectiveness to WMC. Develop and conduct training on Quality Concepts to key groups within quality and operations. Work on ad hoc special projects to enhance quality of our products

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Quality Engineering from four-year college or university; At least 3 years’ experience in quality engineering or related role or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with Maquiladora manufacturing. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, and suppliers. Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean, and/or ASQ Certifications preferred. Need a valid passport, or ability to get one, to visit our Mexico facilities. Ability to use Microsoft Office programs proficiently and strong knowledge of Excel, Access, and Visual Basic. Must lift/move up to 25 pounds.
