Procure and maintain test equipment for all QC and inspection areas for production needs. Ensure test carts and equipment are UL listed or equivalent. Maintains test and inspection processes current with best available technologies including compliance to ANSI, IEC, NEMA, and UL. Maintains test reporting methods based on order engineering and customer requirements, CTRs and databases for product traceability. Provides on-going training for QC test personnel.Maintains test area safety including PPE. Conducts weekly safety audits of QC electrical test process and remote testing in production areas. Provides support for customer witness testing as needed. Works closely with continuous engineering and design centers to ensure production testing process is consistent with applicable standards. Issues corrective action requests on related issues discovered during testing. Provides continuous improvement support for order engineering to reduce order errors. Reviews existing test and inspection methods, and work instructions for poka-yoke opportunities, both final testing and in-process. Maintains test data in retrievable format to support PSAs and engineering investigations. Coordinates inspections and investigations of field returns when needed and provides failure analysis. Provides production testing support as needed to meet customer promise dates. Works with other Schneider locations including field services to standardize product testing during start-up to ensure customer satisfaction. Provides technical support for product moves and factory layout changes that affect product testing. Develops production test equipment specifications and procedures for new product development releases. Participates in product safety reviews during design stage gates. Provides technical support and participates in PSA investigations including PIT member when needed. Coordinates and/or conducts special testing required by customers including Corona, BIL, and thermal testing. Serves as back-up for product safety reviews when needed. Conducts dock and process audits of test and inspection process as scheduled. Works with technical assistance group to resolve product quality issues from field complaints.

BS in Electrical Engineering required with a minimum of 2 years of related experience. Must have good communication skills, ability to work effectively in team settings, self motivated, and results driven. Good understanding of engineered-to-order business processes desired. Combination of equivalent experience and education will be considered. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access. Experience with Minitab a plus. Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt training and/or certification preferred. CQE certification preferred.
