MSEE with emphasis in mixed-signal circuit design and 2+ years experience or Ph.D in mixed-signal or RF circuit design.
Senior Mixed-Signal Design Engineer to design, develop, and test high performance mixed-signal and RF integrated circuit (IC) components and systems for communication applications. This role requires the ability to independently perform system design (when appropriate) to identify performance requirements, perform circuit design, and perform and/or oversee layout of integrated circuits in deep submicron CMOS technologies. In addition, the candidate will document designs for peer design reviews, and should have the ability to develop creative methods to improve designs, and debug and resolve errors in a timely manner.
In addition to running a standard CAD flow for analog and mixed-signal design (such as Cadence), the ability to program in C (or similar) and/or use Matlab is required. When performance of a block is strongly influenced by system issues such as stability or noise, the candidate is expected to exercise judgment in formulating appropriate behavioral simulation models. Experience through the complete IC development flow from concept, circuit design and layout, through testing is required. The ability to work both independently and as a member of a development team is also needed.
A M.S. degree with emphasis in circuit design and the equivalent of 2 years in industry is desired.
