MS EE or equivalent, with strong academic background and references
5-7 years consumer electronics engineering experience
Experience as a Base Band hardware design engineer for WCDMA/CDMA/GSM/LTE wireless handset applications. Experience with hardware design and measurements per WCDMA/GSM/CDMA/LTE standards is necessary. Experience with RF transceiver systems and sub-systems that include RFICs like LNAs, synthesizers, filters, VCOs, directional couplers, transmission lines and antennas, as well as baseband circuits like ADCs and DACs, in the DC to 6GHz operating frequency range.
Experience with high speed, high performance digital PWB design is necessary, including understanding of cross talk, decoupling as relevant to PWB design.
Experience defining and architecting electronic components for consumer products, including motion control and imaging products is desired
Experience working with global teams, contract design and manufacturers, customers, and vendors
Ability to provide Marvell Chipset support to customers and/or development partners, include RF transceiver,RF calibration, RF layout etc. is strongly desired.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
International travel is expected.
The Marvell Corvallis Systems Lab is seeking an experienced Hardware System Architect and Technical Leader to develop new or optimize existing digital platforms and mixed-mode wireless devices utilizing Marvell’s industry leading Power Management, Baseband, Communication and Application Processors and handheld reference designs in an exciting, fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate must have strong leadership, architectural, design and debugging skills. Proven track record in and experience in RF design, wireless systems applications, embedded systems design, microprocessor architectures, hardware interfaces, I/O, and analog subsystems, including battery powered devices.
Also requires strong project leadership and coordination skills, communication skills, self motivation, and the ability and desire to work in a team environment. Responsibilities include all
phases of development including planning, design, implementation, test, qualification, and release.
