We are seeking a team member that is motivated, ambitious, and excited to partake in the growth of our company. The Engineer, Upstream technologies will work on research and development activities, primarily on product development within upstream technologies, specifically with bioreactors.
What you can look forward to accomplishing •Work in a laboratory environment to execute work packages.
•Run studies with bioreactors, growing cells and analyzing and reporting the results.
•Will eventually work with 1-2 lab technicians as the position develops.
•Apply and demonstrate knowledge of working in a lab and/or life science production floor.
Skills and experience you need to bring to our company Required Skills/Qualifications:
•Must have biochemical engineering experience (e.g., cell culture).
•Ability to execute semi-independently and organize time to meet established targets.
•Demonstrate knowledge of bioreactor design, operation, and critical process parameters
•Strong written and oral English communication is critical, must be able to interact with internal/suppliers/customers
•Strong team player
•BS/MS biochemical engineer (or equivalent) with 3-5 years experience
•Experience with cell culture (CHO) processes including analysis and troubleshooting, ideally from bench scale to larger bioreactors (50L+)
•This job will require frequent work in wet laboratory (biosafety level BSL-1),
•Some domestic/international travel
•Occasional work on weekends (to supervise cell culture)
