This is a half-time position that will work under supervision of Dr. Pierre Lucas to conduct instrumental development as well as experimental and analytical investigation on the thermal properties of salts of binary to high order eutectics.
Duties and Responsibilities
Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications
- Experimental work includes using Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Thermal Gravimetric Analysis (TGA). * Instrumentation development work involves modifying a plate reader for high temperature (300 degree C) optical screening.

Additional Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must have a PhD with good research training and experience in the areas of physical chemistry or material engineering. * Requires hands on experience in design and fabrication of scientific equipment. * Requires experience in FTIR, DSC, TGA, DTA. * Requires experience in electronic, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills. * Requires experience with melted salts.
