Defines and sets engineering requirements for valves and other equipment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develops Engineering Bills of Material, drawings and specifications.
Assists with the creation of quality documents based on special customer requirements
Confers with planning and production to ensure efficient production methods.
Creates reference operation sets and task lists to include estimated production times and related costs based on historical and measured data.
Confers with management, production, sales and other staff regarding manufacturing requirements, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (I.E.) or equivalent engineering degree
Ability to read analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; AutoCAD and Inventor Desired; Internet software; Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
