Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior ALQ-131 Test Engineer with 18 years of experience with the testing and operation of the
AN/ALQ-131 Electronic Attack pod.
Primary duties will be for installing testing troubleshooting replacement articles for specialized inetgration and test enviroments for the ALQ-131 pod and support equipment.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
•
Installs, tests and troubleshoots Electronic Warfare (EW) subsystems in the ALQ-131 pod in accordance with technical specifications and engineering instructions.
•
Performs first srticle testing of replacement components, documents the results of these tests and publishes a final reports
•
Analyzes equipment operating characteristics to isolate malfunctions in ALQ-131 systems, integrated test systems built-in-test (BIT), multiplexed data bus systems, recording systems, video display systems, RF subsystems, F-16 and A-10 interfaces to the ALQ-131
•
Diagnoses malfunctions using technical orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, integrated test systems and other bench test equipment and common hand tools
•
Modifies avionics systems according to technical publications or engineering drawings
•
Inspects and verifies operational status and configuration of EW system
•
Interprets and recommends corrective action to inspection finding
•
Executes proper documentation of actions performed in applicable forms
•
Develops final engineering analysis and acceptancetest reports
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 18 years of related EW pod experience
•
Experience building, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing USAF EW pod systems
•
Experience working with engineering teams
•
Experience in reprogramming of EW operational flight program (OFP) software
•
Working knowledge of U. S. Air Force aircraft and systems and Mil-Std-1553B communications architecture
•
Understanding of and adherence to safety procedures with regard to electricity, Electro-Static Discharge, use of power equipment and personal protection gear
•
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
AA/AS/BS
degree in Electrical Engineering, as well as experience in Computer Engineering/Software
