The position of Engineer is responsible for design, calculations, and other tasks related to engineering activities for various civil and structural projects.

Design composite elevated ground and elevated storage tanks, including steel tank, reinforced concrete foundation, and support structures
Interpret customer specifications and building codes
Interpret soils reports, work with geotechnical engineers and select foundation types
Prepare design calculations for tanks and foundations
Communicate design requirements with sketches, specifications, etc.
Design related structures and components
Design structures such as masonry valve vaults and steel/concrete storage floors
Design antenna supports and mechanical/piping systems
Direct detailing and review/stamp drawings
Design construction equipment/temporary supports and formwork systems
Develop tools for design/analysis including Excel spreadsheets and structural analysis software
Establish and implement design standards and procedures

Bachelor degree in Civil or mechanical engineering
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, or Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) with ability to obtain P.E.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of similar design experience
Structural design in concrete, steel, and masonry
Tank design Experience - Preferred
Structural and mechanical drawing review
Working knowledge of codes, standards, and specifications relative to the tank industry and civil construction (AWWA, API, AISC, ACI, IBC) Essential Functions:

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Provide limited supervision to others through motivation, direction, review and feedback of assigned tasks.
General Direction: receive very general guidance with respect to overall objectives; work is usually quite independent of others; operate within division or department policy guidelines using independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives.

Equipment Operation:
Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
Proficiency in AutoCAD
