The Engineer will be responsible to ensure organizational compliance with engineering standards, operational guidelines and regulatory requirements. This position will also be responsible for facilitating centralized technical and regulatory training, enhancing business processes, implementing cost management/productivity measures, and executing project management controls for Transmission and Distribution.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS · All NorthWestern Energy employees are required to adhere to company safety standards
· Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy’s values, mission, and strategic business objectives
· Understand and apply knowledge of national, state and local gas engineering/regulatory codes (NECS, PHMSA, etc.)
· Provide technical support to operations, engineering and construction for Transmission and Distribution departments
· Apply knowledge of engineering fundamental, design, evaluation, and processes
· Develop, write, maintain and evaluate engineering standards and operational guidelines
· Process improvement and development of engineering, operations and construction departments
· Develop productivity analysis and reports for engineering, operations and construction processes
· Develop and work with charting and trending analysis
· This position is an office position with limited travel (5%) and occasional lifting (35lbs)
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS · Must be able to demonstrate a good safety record
· Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
· Outstanding computer skills especially in MS Office products
· Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with others
· Ability to think clearly and function in various jobs, situations and make decisions
· Some knowledge in utility electric and gas operations is a benefit
· Demonstrate ability to consolidate information and ideas from diverse sources to solve problems
