The Linear Products Group (LPG) has an open position for an Engineering Director to provide functional management of our design engineering teams across several Analog Devices sites, with a focus on the teams in San Jose.
The candidate will work with other functional disciplines including marketing, applications and product/test engineering to define, develop and launch new products which comprise both precision and high-speed amplifiers, references, and other linear signal conditioning integrated circuits.
In addition to product development, the candidate will drive long term core technology roadmaps, which include core analog and mixed-signal circuit and architecture IP required for both horizontal and market-specific products, as well as advocate and drive for needed foundation technologies, such as process and package.
The candidate will be responsible for driving innovation in linear signal conditioning circuits and architectures, as well as in relevant aspects of the new product development process such as design methodologies, execution and development cost.
The role will entail managing all aspects of the design of a wide range of circuit complexities from standalone amplifiers to complex mixed-signal ASSPs for linear signal conditioning.
Management responsibilities will include hiring, developing and training of new employees in addition to motivating and retaining talent.
The candidate should have a BSEE plus 15-20 years of experience in integrated circuit design, with expertise in high-performance linear and mixed-signal technology. Candidate must have direct experience working with customers, defining products and developing long term technology roadmaps. Candidate must have 10+ years of experience managing large and diverse design teams of 10-25 engineers.
