Textron Defense Systems
Support engineering development of Advanced (state-of-the-art) Military Systems for the US Department of Defense.
Responsibilities to Include:
Technical assignments will involve engineering design and analysis of complex electrical-mechanical solutions.
Design responsibilities include:
- Research & development of detailed requirements & interfaces
- Detailed design development, analysis of design adequacy & performance
- Documentation of engineering efforts.
- Use of standard engineering tools such as Computer Aided Design tools (Unigraphics, ORCAD, etc.) will be required.
- Activities will also include system integration and verification engineering efforts.
Verification activities will entail development of detailed test plans & procedures, generation of complex test methods, test execution, and reporting.
Undergraduate currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Candidate should have the ability to take direction, work reasonably independently, perform research, and utilize basic science/engineering knowledge, as well as good mathematics and computer skills in the execution of the assignment.
Minimum GPA requirement of 3.2 or higher
Work with others in a team environment.
Travel ~ 25% during assignment.
Ability to ascertain a security clearance.
Hands on engineering experience.
Work 40 hrs/week.
Assignment period is June to August.
