Verivo Software is looking for an Engineering Manager that is passionate about mobile technologies. You will be a hands-on leader within our world-class product development team and ensure that Verivo’s mobility platform delights developers and exceeds the demands of enterprise-grade mobility.
Key Responsibilities:
The Engineering Manager will
Design and build our next generation product offering
Serve as a ScrumMaster and technical lead for a Scrum team
Partner with Scrum team members to deliver end-to-end product increments in an iterative fashion
Collaborate with Product Owners to deliver our product vision
Implement automated unit and integration tests in parallel with advancing our product
Manage a team of 5+ engineers
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
BS or MS in Computer Science, or similar technical education
6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building commercial applications with Java
2+ years of experience as a development manager or team lead
2+ years of hands-on development experience with data integration technologies including REST, SOAP, HTTP, JSON, XML and SQL
Excellent object-oriented design and development skills
Experience and passion for Agile including Scrum and Test Driven Development
Experience with mobile technologies such as iOS, Windows Phone, BlackBerry, and web frameworks such as jQuery, Backbone.js, Sencha and PhoneGap is a plus
Demonstrated excellence in mentoring team members on software engineering craftsmanship
Experience designing platform APIs and enabling enterprise security
Courage to fail fast, recover, and to ultimately deliver
Excellent oral and written communication skills
