DUTIES

  • Daily and weekly tasks that need to be completed as requested
oCopying
oScanning
oFiling and updating binders, files, and notebooks
oData entry
  • Projects to assist
oAnalysis of Distribution System in Milsoft
Will train student. Software is similar to PowerWORLD
Assist with long range plan analysis
Assist with construction work plan analysis
oData Modeling of 69kV system in PowerWORLD
Input distribution substation transformers and regulators into model as AUX file
Contingency Analysis
  • Add switching steps
  • Develop outages
Input main distribution tielines into model as AUX file
Work with SWTC to get zero sequence into model for fault currents
oAnalysis of 69kV System in PowerWORLD
  • Define and develop contingencies
  • Develop switching to resolve outages
Fault Current Values
  • Fault each 69kV high side to get fault current values
  • Minimum is normal radial configuration
  • Maximum is all 69kV loops closed
QUALIFICATIONS

Good work ethic, self-starter, and communications are always key traits & trump all other criteria; Hands-on experience with electric system distribution analysis software such as Milsoft, SynerGEE, eTAP, or similar. Student will be using Milsoft and/ or hands-on experience with PowerWORLD or other transmission loadflow analysis program
