Description Duties/Responsibilities
The Engineering Project Manager would manage projects for the PC GBU Thin Client R&D Team working with a distributed team of Software Engineer.
This person would drive multiple projects resolution from initiation to delivery improving customer satisfaction and driving Thin Client business growth.
Manage projects queue and priorities, track multiple project progress, maintain up to date project status and monitor team workload.
The Project Manager would be interacting with a team of Software Engineer but would also report project progress to management and the Sales team.
It is essential that the Engineering Project Manager understand Thin Client Technologies and develop subject matter knowledge in key HP Thin Clients technologies to be able to interact with the Software Team, to help defining and reviewing project scope and assist developer during implementation.
This person would follow established team processes but would also recommends changes to improve the engineering process and to alleviate process inaccuracy and duplication.

Strong technical background
Experienced with Server Based Computing and Virtualization
Experienced with Linux and Windows System Architectures
Programming / Scripting experience
High level of adaptability and self-motivation.

Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies
Significant working knowledge of software and hardware development processes.
Ability to see the "big picture"; ability to balance people, technical and business needs and make decisions taking these all into account.
Proven track record for solid and rapid decision making skills

At least three (3) years of Engineering Project Management experience.
At least five (5) years of experience in software development and delivery.
This role requires the ability to explain complex material in a clear and concise manner and ability to provide detailed engineering analyses to non-engineers.

Education and Experience Required:

Typically a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 plus years related experience or Master's degree and a minimum of 4-6 years experience.
