Honda Transmission Manufacturing
Lead activity of the engineering groups withing the High Pressure Die Casting department by creating and maintaining business plans, budgets, and daily direction to maintain production and cost targets.
Set short term and long term direction and goals / assignments for engineering groups.
Lead investigations / meetings for current issues and long term improvement items.
Minimum of eight years in a highly demanding production environment.
Knowledge of new model development
Strong mechanical & electrical background.
Ability to read and interpret production part prints.
Good understanding of engineering principles and standard manufacturing practices coupled with "hands-on" experience to support it
Thoroughly understands common troubleshooting techniques, data collection (experiment procedures), and data analysis techniques for complex, multi-faceted problems
Ability to mentor and train new engineers and equipment service members
Long term planning for future department growth and efficiency
Set direction quickly on short term and long term countermeasures
Ability to generate business plan items for department to help acheive division & plant goals
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong electrical skills with knowledge of Mitsubishi PLC's and HMI's

Strong understanding of High Pressure (HP) casting process.
Demonstrates initiative, ability to make decisions under pressure, and accountability
Associate’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Metallurgical or related field or equivalent experience in die casting.
Must be able to travel (15%) both domestic and international. Must be able to work various shifts for short term when needed. Willingness to work daily overtime and occasional weekends. Willing to work hands-on with line-side investigations. Working conditions include hands-on in manufacturing environment (entering die manufacturing and production casting machines).
