The Engineering Leader will work closely with PGS teams in field and service shops to integrate technology and process improvements that will raise the quality and completeness of field data flowing back to the Thermal Reliability team. You will work with other P&W Engineering teams to define and implement improvements to data collection in the field or service centers and factories or in the M&D Center.
In addition, you will:
Define IT / Tools improvements necessary to meet the future needs of P&W for reliability data
Work with other teams to define the needs for component inspections and take a leadership role to ensure crisp and timely implementation
Follow up with audits or other means to ensure that the intent of the inspection continues to be met over time
Work with other Engineering teams in P&W to ensure that data is being used appropriately and on a widespread basis
Advocate for the use of reliability data for validation of analyses
Mentor newer engineers in the use of data and reliability methods to continue to build a culture of strong data use within Thermal Engineering
Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical or Industrial
Minimum of 8 years of experience in Engineering or Services for Gas Turbines or related heavy capital equipment
Ability and willingness to travel (to Service Centers or customer sites to work with other GE teams and to understand various situations and the business from the PGS side and from the customers perspective) as required
Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Familiarity with PGS and Engineering teams that work with PGS
Field Service or Service Shop experience / strong familiarity either in the Energy industry or related similar heavy industry such as a shipyard or USN or merchant marine
Strong leadership skills tempered with a willingness to work to a timely solution
Self-starter with a "can do" attitude
