DESCRIPTION

This position has evolved into a seasoned technician performing routine quality control test procedures including concrete testing and nuclear moisture/density testing under limited supervision. DUTIES

Maintains daily job log and is familiar with applicable plans and specifications. Notifies supervisor or Project Manager immediately of problems and deviations from plans and specifications. May occasionally make limited recommendations in the field. Has frequent exposure to clients, however, does not interpret specifications or direct work. May have limited responsibility for training or direction of entry-level technicians. Follows all safety procedures. Maintains a driving record free of specific violations. May also perform field work within other company disciplines. Strives to make each project profitable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to frequently lift 30 60 pounds from the floor to 2 feet. Occasionally lift 60 100 pounds from the floor to 2 feet. Ability to frequently carry 30 60 pounds for 10 30 feet. Occasionally carry 60 100 pounds for 10 30 feet. Ability to stand/walk with frequent stooping and bending for up to 8 hours.
Education - High school diploma or equivalent. Construction-related training or technical training desirable.
Experience - Five years of formal industry experience. Preferable experience with soil/cement stabilization.
Must possess a valid driver's license, ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, ability to read, write, and perform basic math, must be comfortable communicating with the public, must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments.
