Job Title: Engineering Technician
Department: Production

The Engineering Technician provides direct assistance and support to the engineering staff in all aspects of their duties and will serve as the Production Departments main resource for the implementation, training and use of Peleton/Wellview reporting software.


Train and develop all staff that utilizes WellView Reporting Software

Monitor production data reported in Merrick ProCount-Carte reporting system and work with Production Services to correct discrepancies.

Develop quality check exception reports to help users insure accuracy of reporting

Coordinate the development of custom reports as requested by department users.

Create and maintain updated well bore schematics and maintain well histories

Utilize SAP to compile and evaluate key performance indicators (KPI’s) to improve operating efficiency

Research, compile, assemble data, create and maintain department databases, construct spread sheets and develop graphs and charts and assist engineers in the preparation of various reports

Organize and maintain files and other related information.

High school diploma or equivalent is required, degree in math or science preferred. Employee must be computer literate with experience using Peloton-WellView as well as Microsoft software such as Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos

Ability to write simple correspondence

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, top company management and the general public

Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret graphs

Ability to use basic computer software to generate reports

Should be proficient in Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and other software used by CRI engineers

The use of economic analysis and reserve forecasting programs is also required


First Aid/CPR Certification
