As a member of MWV’s Primary Plastic Operation Group, you will performance functional compatibility and dimensional inspection of components and finished products, initiated through Field Sales, Customer Service or Product Development. In this role, you will document and report all observations and results to originator of lab request and as required, assist with sample making of customer or product development samples.
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT MWV
As an Engineering Technician, you will set-up and monitor compatibility tests with customer products, report test results clearly within a defined format and measure parts or test units according to standard test procedures.
Devise new methods of testing partially assembled and complete units.
Assist product development engineers with testing of new projects.
Communicate with sales & marketing by telephone, memorandum, letter, report or email.
Maintain files, records, and simplify interpretation of blue prints.
Assist in making samples when needed.
Assist in training of new technicians.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Associate's degree in Applied Science or related field.
Minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training.
Strong oral and written communication and problem-solving skills.
Basic computer skills to include working with Microsoft Office and Windows based programs.
Proficient in the operation or use of a balance scale, stereo and video, microscope, torque tester, dail push/gauges, calipers and micrometers, viscometer, punch press, drill press, arbor press and customized equipment used for testing.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
