We are currently seeking two Engineering Technicians in our Irvine location. The test and support engineering technician is responsible for testing various VIZIO advanced products, reporting and tracking issues related to new product versions, and coordinating with the product development team. Testing may involve exercising products at an application level, verifying interoperability with applicable standards, or verification of specific design objectives. The technician works closely with vendors, development partners, customers, field service representatives, VIZIO engineering, sales and marketing, to ensure that products meet the desired system objectives. The engineering technician assists with software configuration as well as necessary activities to assemble, and test electronic assemblies. The technician assists in communications with the user community and VIZIO’s support organization. The engineering technician periodically supports other general needs of the development organization, including asset setup, configuring equipment for trade shows and sales support, and assisting the outward facing Quality Control organization as necessary.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: · Perform new product IQC
· Log, track, verify, and report product issues
· Collect, document and communicate data
· Act as a support resource at the direction of product development
· Support on- and off-site demonstrations and development partners
· Assist software and hardware development activities, including installing and testing software
· Assist with the communication of issues and device behavior and support with the VIZIO support organization
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience: · Ability to perform, document and communicate test and interoperability procedures
· Ability to setup and diagnose wired and wireless IP network devices
· Skilled with common PC based software applications
· Self-motivation and work ethic
· Adaptability
· Organization
· Enthusiasm and team play
Minimum Education required:

High School Graduate (2 Year Technical Degree Preferred)

Minimum Experience required: · 2+ years experience working with electronic products (consumer electronics experience preferred) · Customer support experience is a plus
