Support the Federal and Private loan mandates in accordance with federal regulations. Perform client services, including processing and counseling functions and other duties pertinent to processing private loans, assisting clients with their inquiries and requests of all Student Financial Aid processes. Provide support and guidance on the use of Banner Web Xtender and assisting staff in accessing financial aid documents.
Knowledge of student financial aid and administrative service programs. Knowledge of Federal loan programs as well as Private loan regulations. Working knowledge of information systems (e.g. Banner, PeopleSoft or a similar program). Knowledge of effective customer service and problem-resolution techniques. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects. Demonstrated ability to make decisions. Demonstrated ability to analyze and to interpret complex program regulations and to articulate them to constituencies. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member in a complex processing and intensive public contact environment. Demonstrated ability to use MS Office Suite to produce reports, prepare correspondence, and manipulate data.
Experience with Banner. Experience using WebXtender or other imaging software systems to index documents. Extensive experience in Financial Aid.
Occasional evenings or weekends may be required.
