Under general direction of the Manager, Admissions, the Enrolment Advisor supports the admissions process and provides detailed information to prospects, applicants and current students. Daily activities may be monitored by an Admission Officer. The incumbent must retain a wide range of knowledge on programs, courses, academic policies, procedures and college services, as well as detailed information such as program and course admission processes, general career objectives, and financial assistance opportunities. The incumbent will work with the Academic Schools to facilitate the admissions process. The Enrolment Advisor is responsible for providing information and services through multiple service paths including: in person, by e-mail, by written correspondence, by telephone, etc. The incumbent is expected to work on various assignments associated with the Office of the Registrar which have guidelines and strict deadlines whereby the individual is required to coordinate multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

The successful candidate will possess a two-year diploma in the field of Public Relations, Accounting or Business, as well as a minimum of two years of practical work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. In addition, the successful candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal, listening and customer relation skills that are demonstrated through patience, courtesy, empathy and understanding. Strong attention to detail is required. Computer literacy is required, with knowledge of e-mail software, and Microsoft Office Suite. The ability to work well under pressure while demonstrating confidence and good judgement is required.
