The ET Nurse is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care and clinical consultation related to wound, ostomies, and continence care. Serves as a resource person for staff and patients with wounds, ostomies, and incontinence, including staff education and p articipates on committees related to skin care issues. Serves as a community resource and resource for pending Ostomy Clinic.
Graduate of an accredited school for professional nursing with a current nursing license from the State of Michigan. Bachelor degree and certification in wound, ostomy, and continence nursing required (CWOCN). Minimum of two years current clinical and/or educational experience in an acute care setting. Must have effective communication skills. Will spend up to 50% of work time on telephone or in personal conversation with patients or health care professionals.
