Purpose/Function:
Set common business architecture roadmap and related standards for the enterprise by leveraging industry trends to satisfy business needs. Enable and assist application and project development teams in complying with enterprise architecture standards by adopting standard functional components, services and tools.

Principal Accountabilities:
·

Application Portfolio Management

·

Develop appropriate standards, governance bodies, processes and tools related to management of accurate application inventory information.

·

From time to time as required, conduct application portfolio analysis, optimization and migration plans to keep the total cost of ownership of applications across the enterprise low and to ensure high degree of business/ IT alignment.

·

Business and Functional Architecture standards

·

Understand business drivers and processes that impact the evolution of common functionality and components across the enterprise and leverage this understanding to drive the features and roadmap for common functional components and business architectures through the use of standard architecture patterns.

·

Understand, advocate and augment industry standard architecture and process optimization methodologies and principles to develop business architecture(s) for common applications and components.

·

Collaborate with business stakeholders in optimization of business processes that cut across the enterprise and improve value delivery in application portfolio.

·

Analyze industry and market trends in the evolution of common business services and determine their potential impact on the enterprise. Develop proactive policies in the adoption of such emerging services for business benefits.

·

Governance and Processes

·

Develop appropriate governance processes, bodies and associated tools to ensure that effective enterprise-wide controls for technology lifecycle management, architecture compliance in multiple layers (business, technology, information, infrastructure, application) are in place.

·

Evaluate, direct and monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of EA related governance processes.

·

Maintain and report on a dashboard that tracks the effectiveness of EA function in standardization, governance, application portfolio cost reduction, technology life cycle management and business/ IT alignment.

·

Project Support

·

Guide and mentor solution architects in business units as required so that they can enable application or project development teams to adopt common business components and services.

·

Work closely with the enterprise program management office (EPMO) or project office to ensure alignment of plans with what is being delivered.

·

Standards facilitation

·

Based on trends seen within the application portfolio, recommend suitable options to EA team for investigation and standardization.

·

Co-develop Enterprise Architecture standards with business unit solution architects on 3rd party products, tools, services, and other architecture patterns to enforce standardization of components and reuse in solution architectures.

·

Assist in the implementation of EA standards by helping project teams prepare for ARB reviews and other EA standards adoption as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
·

Experience of at least 3 years in business process analysis and optimization

·

Experience of at least 3 – 5 years in consulting and guiding business units in the adoption of common business processes, metrics, and functional components.

·

Experience of at least 3 years in the business domain.

·

Strategic Problem Solving

·

Consulting and advisory skills

·

Knowledge of IT operations related activities for deploying and managing applications

·

Experience within outsourcing environment

·

Awareness of project methodologies (e.g. Prince2)

·

Certification or knowledge in at least 1 EA framework

·

SOA analysis, design principles

·

Architecture patterns and styles

·

Prior experience in solution architecture and allied standards

·

Prior experience in IT security standards

·

Excellent written and verbal communications

·

Executive presentation skills

·

Team player

·

Ability to build rapport with developers and guide them
