Enterprise Architects serve as liaisons between ITS and other city departments. They are responsible for working with assigned business units to plan, evaluate, and architect technology-related solutions that drive down operating expenditures, more effectively leverage existing investments to preserve public trust, and minimize duplication of technology.

Enterprise Architects possess in-depth knowledge of and lead one or more technical domains via virtual working groups of domain subject-matter experts. The City currently has the following domains: Applications, Business, Data, Server/Storage, End-User Platform, and Network Voice and Video Infrastructure (NVVI). As the domain representative to IT governance, the Enterprise Architect will be influential in managing the lifecycle of major groups of technologies; facilitating the procurement of infrastructure-level technologies; understanding and implementing methodologies for design and documentation, configurations, processes, and standards to ensure that the City can be more effective and efficient in our implementation and use of technology.

SALARY

$77,334 - $115,315 annualized. Appointment can be made above minimum depending upon qualifications.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
·


Three years of experience as an Enterprise Architect, Domain Architect, or functional lead for an enterprise technology organization that develops business and IT strategy, designs and implements and/or provides operational support for IT systems hardware/software.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, business administration, mathematics, or related field is required.
·
Experience facilitating development of strategic plans, master plans, or technology roadmaps.
·
Extensive technical IT skills in one or more of the following areas: applications, data, and infrastructure (end user, server/storage, network voice and video).
·
Experience reviewing technology requirements and ability to determine if the city currently has systems/technologies that will meet these requirements or if new products must be identified.
·
Experience writing and leveraging written gap analyses, business cases, feasibility studies, and proposals to enable the business to make informed decisions.
·
Ability to lead virtual groups, build consensus, manage stakeholders, and effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.
·
Experience in developing policies, standards, and standard operating procedures for hardware and software selection, usage, installation and operation.
·
Excellent written and verbal communication including the ability to facilitate meetings, prepare and give presentations, work across multiple business functions, and write formal business and/or technical recommendations.
·
Demonstrate effective use of "soft skills" to perform duties and tasks as a relationship manager for assigned customer accounts and business partners.
·
This is a salaried/exempt position and incumbents must have the ability to work after hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
·


MS and/or MBA in computer science, computer information systems, business administration, mathematics, or related field is preferred.
·
PMP Certification, education, or fundamental understanding of the various project management methodologies preferred.
·
ITIL v3 Foundation Certification and experience with practical application of ITIL principals to create innovative and efficiency value to organizations. Additional ITIL v3 education and/or certifications, specifically Service Strategy, Service Design and Continuous Service Improvement
