Our Technology & Management Solutions group is growing and we are currently seeking a hands-on Enterprise Architect. You will apply technical and experiential knowledge to work with our customer through the design of solutions architectures and implementation of the future-state enterprise architecture.
You will also lead a team of architects and technologists responsible for data management and modeling, managing the service-oriented architecture (SOA) framework, and documenting the business architecture. Additionally, you will conduct reviews of solutions, as well as support project reviews and analysis. This position is located in Washington, DC.
Provide technical expertise on the future-state architecture to the client and team
Guide technical teams in designing and developing solutions that align with the architecture
Perform assessments of EA compliance to existing frameworks and provide actionable advise to close gaps
Work with governance teams to identify and select applicable standards, practices, and implementation patterns
Conduct research, develop position-papers, reports and presentations for briefings to application teams
Work within interdisciplinary teams to ensure that organizational information exchange requirements are identified and met
Active high level government security clearance
8+ years of overall IT experience
4+ years hands on knowledge with EA repositories (IBM System Architect, Troux, etc.)
4+ years of work with EA projects and programs
3+ years of technical experience with systems development
Exposure to multiple, diverse technical environments
Understanding of the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM)
Familiarity with SOA architecture and web technologies (e.g., Internet and Web service standards/protocols, enterprise service bus)
Experience using IBM System Architect and other architecture development tools (Microsoft Visio)
Knowledge of BI products and tools
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities
Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated outstanding level of professionalism in providing client support, including ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy
Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
Ability to apply detailed knowledge of organizational procedures to make independent decisions and serve as a credible resource for a senior management team
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
