KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS : |
o Knowledge of IT Management processes such as COBIT, ITIL, PMI, CMMI
o Knowledge and skills in data warehousing methodologies and tools

o Critical thinking, collaboration, flexibility, project/task ownership, system improvement (computerized or manual), project management, consultation and conflict management, organization and time management and attention to detail.

o Information Systems certification in a specific supported software package(s)
o Bachelors degree with a major in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management or Business Management
o Experience with business and clinical systems architecture in a healthcare setting, especially Cerner Millennium, Siemens Invision, NextGen EPM, and Lawson ERP.
o Experience utilizing a formal Quality Management methodology such as Six Sigma, TQM, or Crosby
o Experience utilizing a formal Service Management and/or Governance frameworks such as COBIT or ITIL
o 10+ years of experience designing, implementing and managing multiple large complex applications including interface engine, data warehouse, EHR and ERP systems
o 5+ years of application and integration architecture experience
o One or more industry certifications such as: PMI, CPHIMS, ITIL, COBIT, CMMI, Six Sigma

The Enterprise Architect reports to the Manager, Enterprise Architecture. This position is an advanced technical professional role responsible for defining and designing an enterprise information architecture that supports the organization’s strategies. Architecture designs must meet initial needs and allow scalability to support growth. The Enterprise Architect will have in-depth knowledge across multiple technical environments and can provide expertise regarding systems design and integration across the business. The role promotes shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve information flows, and it ensures that new technology solutions do not duplicate functionality or diverge from each other and business and IT strategies. This role will interface with the business community to ensure that the right people have access to the right data at the right time.
The Enterprise Architect must also identify opportunities for and contribute to the improvement of quality, safety and cost, as well as patient, customer, and employee satisfaction. S/he is expected to perform all work in accordance with all relevant LRMC hospital and IS standards, policies, and procedures. S/he may perform other duties as assigned.
