Position overview : The enterprise architect, (EA) is an actively working software engineer that provides technical leadership and oversight to the process of migrating from the current to the future state architecture of Regency’s ERP, CRM and Web technology platforms. Through collaboration with multi-disciplinary stakeholders and engineers, the EA plays a key role in establishing and maintaining a highly integrated model that meets the organization’s business requirements for enterprise systems functionality.

Due to the significant responsibilities of this role, it is essential that this position be filled on a full-time basis only.

Reports to: Chief Information Officer

Location : Regency Headquarters, St Louis Park, MN

Schedule: Full-time – general business hours

Primary Responsibilities:
Develop in-depth knowledge of the company’s existing technology portfolio.
· Model the current systems environment, identify gaps and opportunities, recommend and drive needed improvements.
· Align systems architecture to support business strategy and technology objectives.
· Establish short term and long term technology roadmaps for enterprise systems.
· Collaborate with business leaders, SMEs, and IT teams to plan and execute improvements.
· Ensure stability, interoperability, security and scalability of system architecture.
· Develop enterprise architecture principles, standards, strategies, and frameworks.
· Ensure systems and development is in compliance with enterprise standards.
· Develop, document, communicate, and enforce change control, testing and code standards.
· Conduct research on new technologies in support of architecture and development efforts, make recommendations that will increase cost effectiveness and architecture flexibility.
· Coordinate with development teams and DBA to insure optimum implementation of models.
· Other duties as assigned by management.
Skills and experience required :
· Computer Science or other relevant degree, or 10+ years software development experience with complex enterprise systems SDLC including integrations, migrations and upgrades.
· A proven ability to plan and drive technical advancement in enterprise systems architecture, framework, and coding standards and tools.
· Understanding of multi-tier architectures, data modeling, OO concepts, RDBMS and SOA.
· Strong organization and communication skills.
· Ability to quickly assimilate, analyze and solve complex problems.
Specific technical skills desired :
· C#, ADO.NET, ASP.NET, T-SQL, WinForms, XML, MS SQL, SSRS, SSIS, WCF, REST Web Services, Entity Framework, web security technologies, mobile device development.
