External Description: General Summary:
This position will provide architectural leadership, strategic direction and vision for the Syniverse IT application portfolio. He/She will provide architectural direction in structure, design, technology and infrastructure, as part of the process of developing, customizing, integrating and maintaining systems for Technology Solutions. The incumbent will provide solutions and technical architecture guidance and oversight to business, project delivery, and system support teams as they develop and maintain client technology solutions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible and accountable for implementing a target applications architecture consistent with the Business Reference Architecture Model (BRAM), Target Architecture and Technology Reference Architecture Model (TRAM), and for ensuring that new projects and programs meet enterprise architectural and technology standards.
Responsible for developing and managing the applications architecture portfolio management for the Syniverse systems. This includes applying the application life cycle strategies for modernizations, enhancement, consolidation and retirement of applications as well as ensuring architectural reuse, consistency and integrity across the applications within the Application Portfolio
Work collaboratively with other of Syniverse Architecture leads to identify synergies and reuse opportunities across the organization.
Leading Solution Architecture teams. Develop and coach a team of highly skilled Architecture professionals and provide Architectural thought-leadership to complex issues and ensuring enterprise architecture view has been covered.
Building Shared components and re-using the shared components according to Enterprise guidelines
Thought leadership in overall execution of the Syniverse technology strategy
Leadership of program/project initiation as required
Governance and advisory activities for projects as they are initiated by business requirements, SDLC, statements of work, vetting the use of OSS, vetting of customizations to vendor products, etc
