Understand prospects' technical needs and discovering their source of pain; identify business problem and then "bend the tool to meet the need"

Meet with one to several individuals to learn current state of information available, their information needs, and create a roadmap to desired future state (framework for the POC process and results), including the business rules to be applied to available data

Lead and run remote POC's and demonstrations through to engagement engagements (45% conversion to client rate, and improving)

POC's require being on site, with clients, extracting data from clients' disparate data silos, applying complex business rules, producing actionable results, and showing clients' a solution

Communicate market trends and needs with internal product management group to help shape the product roadmap

Participate in supporting the creation of technical marketing deliverables

Respond to the technical aspects of RFPs

Travel : fluctuates, but averages 30%, and may include international travel

Required Skills:
Proven ability to pull together disorganized customer needs and artifacts and create a compelling, logical, cohesive, and organized solution

Experience and communication skills to meet several people at a time and understand their current ways of retrieving information (from their heads), their information needs, and solicit their imaginations regarding future information possibilities

Experience working with clients, in-person, extracting data from disparate data silos and applying new technology and business rules to add value

Experience with proof-of-concepts, and the ability to think "out of the Black Box" when providing client solutions

Hand on SQL skills and technical aptitude

3+ years in presales or customer facing consulting role working with Enterprise Software

Experience with proof-of-concepts, and the ability to think "out of the Black Box" when providing client solutions

Strong analytical skills; preferably (not required) with functional expertise with analytics and reporting

BS in a technical degree, or degree accompanied by formalized technical training

Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred Skills:
Experience working with any of the following applications: Financial, Telecom , Media Healthcare and /or Big Server Applications

Compensation : $105k - $140k total earnings potential; 80% to 90% is salary, and 10% - 20% in performance related income. No CAP on earnings.
