A product marketing manager at Code 42 Software is an incredibly challenging and rewarding role. WHAT YOU'LL DO
You’ll work with cross-functional teams to plan, build, deploy and measure strategic marketing plans that drive demand for Code 42’s enterprise software solutions. Responsibilities include market research, competitive analysis, pricing, customer engagement and business planning. The ability to understand and translate technical capabilities into benefits, create excitement and demand for products, and be detail-oriented is crucial. A product marketing manager is the expert in our solutions’ buyers—why they buy, how they buy and what they use as buying criteria—who then transfers that knowledge to marketing campaigns and sales channels. A sampling of the things you'll work on:
Product messaging and positioning – Develop product marketing positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market.
Sales enablement – Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of our products.
Product launches – Plan the internal and external launch of new products and releases, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
Demand generation – Work with Integrated Marketing to develop the strategy for the marketing programs that drive demand for our products.
Create supporting material for product releases and launches – Work with cross-functional teams to create marketing materials such as news releases, launch materials, trade show materials, customer presentations, videos, podcasts, and sales training materials.
Campaign development – Work with Integrated Marketing to create and execute competitive marketing campaigns.
Market intelligence – Be the expert on our buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on our competition and how to crush them.
Measure success – Work with the Integrated Marketing team to establish goals for product marketing initiatives and measure results to evaluate effectiveness
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Product marketing experience with enterprise software or hardware solutions
Broad experience with desktop, web and mobile technology
Hands-on experience managing successful product launches
Excellent verbal and written communication skills—error-free, concise writing skills a must
Very strong people and management skills in order to effectively interact with cross-functional teams, customers, prospects, and third-parties
Must be able to travel approximately 25%
