The Enterprise Quality Assurance Analyst I will provide Quality Assurance and Testing oversight of selected projects using the approved Enterprise Quality Assurance processes to ensure the satisfaction of the defined and documented Business Requirements. The Enterprise Quality Assurance Analyst I will execute detailed testing to ensure that all required functionality is working in accordance with the approved Business Specifications/Use Cases prior to approval of Acceptance Criteria as outlined in the approved Test Plan.

Overtime, holiday work and travel are required and are conditions of employment.

Associate degree or 2-3 years work experience in a similar function. Secondary degree in Computer Science/ MIS/ CIS preferred.

0-3 years of QA or Testing experience. Internal Candidates: Minimum of 2 years IH Business experience with QA like job functions that include daily use of business applications, preparation of detailed documentation including standard operating procedures and/or training materials, participation in new client and product launches and Report, Data or Application Testing.

Previous experience in creating and executing test cases & scenarios for software development preferred.

Ability to learn new software applications without assistance.

Strong analytical and diagnostic/problem solving skills required.

Intermediate user level in MS Office products including Word, Project, PowerPoint and Excel as well as Visio preferred

Knowledge of managed health care desirable.

Ability to communicate clearly in writing, by phone, and in person. Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills and time management skills to manage competing priorities

Ability and desire to develop relationship management & collaboration skills and work collaboratively in a team atmosphere

Maintain confidentiality and use only the minimum amount of protected health information (PHI) necessary to accomplish job related responsibilities.

Understands the importance of maintaining the physical and technical security and privacy of protected health information (PHI).

Must have reliable means of transportation. Any Independent Health employee who uses a motor vehicle in the course of their duties representing Independent Health must be compliant with New York State Motor Vehicle laws and must follow the policy that pertains to Driver’s License Requirements as a condition of employment.

Ability to work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week and overtime as needed
